Orion Band

Created ID intent models for the Orion wearable band, made by Meta

Industrial design and Process Developer

Meta launched the Orion band along with its associated hardware in 2024. My role involved significant contributions to the industrial design intent models for the bands, focusing on achieving the desired aesthetic, tactile experience, and overall user experience set forth by Meta's design team. I collaborated closely with the engineering teams to develop practical solutions for testing and validation.

My responsibilities encompassed a variety of tasks, including concept generation, material sourcing, and the development of assembly processes. This also involved tooling, which included CAD design, procurement, and testing. I played a key role in validating concepts through trial builds and design of experiments (DOE), meticulously documenting and presenting our findings.

Notably, some of these models were presented to and tested by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, which underscores the significance of the project and the quality of our design approach.
